You need: fill registration forms, registration/entrance fee KES 500, share capital KES 5,000 (non-refundable, transferable; fee and shares can be deducted via payroll), minimum monthly deposit KES 1,000 (rises to KES 2,000 after 1 year) and nominate next of kin in writing. Expect a registration fee of KSh 500, minimum share capital of KSh 5,000 and a minimum monthly saving of KSh 1,000. You can apply online on SaccoLink and we'll send your application to Bands.

Loans are for members. How long you must save first, how much you can borrow against your deposits, and how many guarantors you need are set by Bands, so ask a branch for the loan form and current terms. If you need a guarantor from Bands, its SaccoLink guarantor board lets members guarantee each other.

Give Bands written notice. Deposits are usually refunded after a notice period once your loans and any guarantees you have given are cleared. Share capital is normally not refunded, but you can sell it to another member, for example on SaccoLink.

Yes. Bands is on SASRA's 2026 list of SACCOs authorised to take non-withdrawable deposits: members save deposits and share capital and borrow against them, but it doesn't run withdrawable (FOSA) accounts.
