SACCOs are how millions of Kenyans save and borrow, but a lot of the practical side still runs on word of mouth: which SACCO to join, who will guarantee your loan, who will buy your shares when you want out. SaccoLink puts those in one place.
What you can do here
- SACCO directory: 357 SACCOs with contact details, licence type and county. You can apply to join from a SACCO's page, and we forward your application to the SACCO.
- Guarantor finder: members who are willing to guarantee loans, grouped by SACCO, since a guarantor usually has to be a member of the same SACCO.
- Shares for sale and buy requests: members list shares they want to sell, and buyers post what they're looking for. Transfers are completed at the SACCO office.
- Learn and the community forum: plain-language guides and a place to ask other members.
How SaccoLink is paid for
Using SaccoLink is free for members. There are no listing fees and no commission on share sales. Some SACCOs pay a referral commission when a new member joins through SaccoLink, and that is how we cover our costs.
What we are not
SaccoLink isn't a SACCO, a bank or a broker, and it isn't regulated by SASRA. We don't take deposits, lend money, hold shares or handle payments between members. Always confirm anything important directly with your SACCO. See transfer safety.
