1. What SaccoLink is
SaccoLink is an information and listings site. It connects SACCO members with SACCOs, guarantors, and buyers or sellers of SACCO shares. SaccoLink is not a SACCO, bank, broker or financial adviser. It isn't a party to any agreement between members and doesn't hold money or shares.
2. Your account
- Give accurate details, especially your name and phone number, and keep them up to date.
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what's done from your account.
- One person, one account. Don't create accounts for other people without their permission.
3. Listings, buy requests and guarantor profiles
- Only list shares you own and are allowed to sell, and only post a buy request you intend to follow through on.
- Describe things honestly: the SACCO, the share value and your price. Mark a listing as sold or withdrawn when it's no longer available.
- Posts go live straight away. We may hide or remove anything that's fake, misleading, duplicated, abusive or unlawful, and suspend accounts that break these terms.
- Offering to guarantee loans is a serious commitment. Only list yourself as a guarantor if you understand that you may have to repay a loan if the borrower doesn't.
4. Dealing with other members
- Every share transfer must go through the SACCO's own process. The SACCO decides whether it's allowed.
- Check everything yourself before paying: who you're dealing with, their membership, and that the shares can be transferred. See transfer safety.
- SaccoLink isn't responsible for the outcome of any deal, loan, guarantee or payment between members.
5. Forum and content
Be respectful. No spam, advertising unrelated to SACCOs, harassment, or other people's personal details. You keep ownership of what you post, but give us permission to display it on SaccoLink.
6. Information on the site
SACCO details, published results and guides are provided for general information. They may be out of date or incomplete, and they aren't financial advice. Confirm anything important with the SACCO.
7. Fees
Using SaccoLink is free for members. If that ever changes, we'll say so clearly before you're charged anything.
8. Liability
We work to keep SaccoLink accurate and available, but we provide it "as is". As far as the law allows, SaccoLink is not liable for losses arising from dealings between members or from reliance on information on the site.
9. Changes and contact
