You need: copy of National ID/Passport, passport-size photograph, copy of KRA PIN certificate, copy of nominee's ID/Passport/Birth certificate (if minor), registration fee KES 2,500, share capital KES 10,000, min monthly deposit KES 2,000 and be 18+, within the field of membership, of good character. How do I get a loan from Jachin?

Loans are for members. How long you must save first, how much you can borrow against your deposits, and how many guarantors you need are set by Jachin, so ask a branch for the loan form and current terms. If you need a guarantor from Jachin, its SaccoLink guarantor board lets members guarantee each other.

How do I leave Jachin or withdraw my savings?

Give Jachin written notice. Deposits are usually refunded after a notice period once your loans and any guarantees you have given are cleared. Share capital is normally not refunded, but you can sell it to another member, for example on SaccoLink.

Is Jachin licensed by SASRA?

Yes. Jachin is on SASRA's 2026 list of SACCOs authorised to take non-withdrawable deposits: members save deposits and share capital and borrow against them, but it doesn't run withdrawable (FOSA) accounts.
