Java: questions members ask

How do I check my Java balance?

Where is Java's head office?

Java's head office is at ABC Place, Waiyaki Way, Westlands, Nairobi, Nairobi County.

How do I join Java?

You need: completed membership application form, copy of Kenyan National ID or valid Kenyan passport, passport-size photograph and submit via your payroll/HR office. Expect a registration fee of KSh 2,000, minimum share capital of KSh 10,000 and a minimum monthly saving of KSh 2,000. You can apply online on SaccoLink and we'll send your application to Java.

How do I get a loan from Java?

Loans are for members. How long you must save first, how much you can borrow against your deposits, and how many guarantors you need are set by Java, so ask a branch for the loan form and current terms. If you need a guarantor from Java, its SaccoLink guarantor board lets members guarantee each other.

How do I leave Java or withdraw my savings?

Give Java written notice. Deposits are usually refunded after a notice period once your loans and any guarantees you have given are cleared. Share capital is normally not refunded, but you can sell it to another member, for example on SaccoLink.

Is Java licensed by SASRA?

Yes. Java is on SASRA's 2026 list of SACCOs authorised to take non-withdrawable deposits: members save deposits and share capital and borrow against them, but it doesn't run withdrawable (FOSA) accounts.
