How do I join KIDAPU?

You need: membership application form, copy of ID card, passport size photo, membership fee KES 1,200, min monthly contribution KES 2,100 and min share capital KES 16,000 (instalments or lump sum). Expect a registration fee of KSh 1,200, minimum share capital of KSh 16,000 and a minimum monthly saving of KSh 2,100. You can apply online on SaccoLink and we'll send your application to KIDAPU.

How do I get a loan from KIDAPU?

Loans are for members. How long you must save first, how much you can borrow against your deposits, and how many guarantors you need are set by KIDAPU, so ask a branch for the loan form and current terms. If you need a guarantor from KIDAPU, its SaccoLink guarantor board lets members guarantee each other.

How do I leave KIDAPU or withdraw my savings?

Give KIDAPU written notice. Deposits are usually refunded after a notice period once your loans and any guarantees you have given are cleared. Share capital is normally not refunded, but you can sell it to another member, for example on SaccoLink.

Is KIDAPU licensed by SASRA?

Yes. KIDAPU is on SASRA's 2026 list of SACCOs authorised to take non-withdrawable deposits: members save deposits and share capital and borrow against them, but it doesn't run withdrawable (FOSA) accounts.
