Magereza has 4 offices in Eldoret, Mombasa, Ruiru and Kisumu. The head office is at Mageso Chambers, Moi Avenue, Nairobi.

You need: completed Membership application form (from website, delegates, branch offices or Head Office) and admission approved by the Board of Directors. Expect a registration fee of KSh 1,000. You can apply online on SaccoLink and we'll send your application to Magereza.

Loans are for members. How long you must save first, how much you can borrow against your deposits, and how many guarantors you need are set by Magereza, so ask a branch for the loan form and current terms. If you need a guarantor from Magereza, its SaccoLink guarantor board lets members guarantee each other.

Give Magereza written notice. Deposits are usually refunded after a notice period once your loans and any guarantees you have given are cleared. Share capital is normally not refunded, but you can sell it to another member, for example on SaccoLink.

Yes. Magereza is on SASRA's list of SACCOs licensed to take deposits (FOSA) for 2026, so it can offer withdrawable savings accounts as well as loans.
