Minet: questions members ask

What is the Minet Paybill number?

Minet hasn't published a Paybill number that we could confirm on its official channels. Visit any Minet office to ask.

How do I check my Minet balance?

Ask Minet for a statement or about its mobile banking options. Visit any Minet office to ask.

Where is Minet's head office?

Minet's head office is at Minet House, Along Professional Way – Off Nyerere Road, Nairobi, Nairobi County.

How do I join Minet?

Bring your national ID and KRA PIN; Minet will tell you anything else it needs. You can apply online on SaccoLink and we'll send your application to Minet.

How do I get a loan from Minet?

Loans are for members. How long you must save first, how much you can borrow against your deposits, and how many guarantors you need are set by Minet, so ask a branch for the loan form and current terms. If you need a guarantor from Minet, its SaccoLink guarantor board lets members guarantee each other.

How do I leave Minet or withdraw my savings?

Give Minet written notice. Deposits are usually refunded after a notice period once your loans and any guarantees you have given are cleared. Share capital is normally not refunded, but you can sell it to another member, for example on SaccoLink.

Is Minet licensed by SASRA?

Yes. Minet is on SASRA's 2026 list of SACCOs authorised to take non-withdrawable deposits: members save deposits and share capital and borrow against them, but it doesn't run withdrawable (FOSA) accounts.
