For FY2024, Mwalimu National paid 13% on share capital and 10% interest on deposits (source: Mwalimu Sacco Announces 13% Dividends for 2024 (K47 Digital News)). Rates are set each year at the AGM, so future rates may differ.

Loans are for members. How long you must save first, how much you can borrow against your deposits, and how many guarantors you need are set by Mwalimu National, so ask a branch for the loan form and current terms. If you need a guarantor from Mwalimu National, its SaccoLink guarantor board lets members guarantee each other.

Give Mwalimu National written notice. Deposits are usually refunded after a notice period once your loans and any guarantees you have given are cleared. Share capital is normally not refunded, but you can sell it to another member, for example on SaccoLink.

Yes. Mwalimu National is on SASRA's list of SACCOs licensed to take deposits (FOSA) for 2026, so it can offer withdrawable savings accounts as well as loans.
