You need: online membership application (ID number, KRA PIN number, town of residence), copy of ID, copy of KRA PIN, monthly share capital commitment and initial payment via Paybill 906100. You can apply online on SaccoLink and we'll send your application to Nyati.

For FY2024, Nyati paid 19% on share capital and 11.35% interest on deposits (source: Saccos Report Impressive Dividends Payout (Co-op News)). Rates are set each year at the AGM, so future rates may differ.

Loans are for members. How long you must save first, how much you can borrow against your deposits, and how many guarantors you need are set by Nyati, so ask a branch for the loan form and current terms. If you need a guarantor from Nyati, its SaccoLink guarantor board lets members guarantee each other.

Give Nyati written notice. Deposits are usually refunded after a notice period once your loans and any guarantees you have given are cleared. Share capital is normally not refunded, but you can sell it to another member, for example on SaccoLink.

Yes. Nyati is on SASRA's list of SACCOs licensed to take deposits (FOSA) for 2026, so it can offer withdrawable savings accounts as well as loans.
