You need: membership open to FCS Group of Companies employees and former employees, 18 years and above, of good character, membership application form and beneficiary form, copy of PIN certificate, national identity card, registration fee KES 500 (non-refundable) and minimum share contribution KES 4,000. You can apply online on SaccoLink and we'll send your application to Sawa.

Loans are for members. How long you must save first, how much you can borrow against your deposits, and how many guarantors you need are set by Sawa, so ask a branch for the loan form and current terms. If you need a guarantor from Sawa, its SaccoLink guarantor board lets members guarantee each other.

Give Sawa written notice. Deposits are usually refunded after a notice period once your loans and any guarantees you have given are cleared. Share capital is normally not refunded, but you can sell it to another member, for example on SaccoLink.

Yes. Sawa is on SASRA's 2026 list of SACCOs authorised to take non-withdrawable deposits: members save deposits and share capital and borrow against them, but it doesn't run withdrawable (FOSA) accounts.
