Sheria has 2 offices in Nairobi and Kisumu. The head office is at Matumbato Close, Nairobi.

You need: filled membership application form, copy of National ID/Passport, filled nominee card, two passport-size photos and entrance fees KES 1,700 (Sacco registration KES 1,000, FOSA account opening KES 500, Burial Benevolent Fund KES 200). Expect a registration fee of KSh 1,700 and minimum share capital of KSh 20,000. You can apply online on SaccoLink and we'll send your application to Sheria.

Loans are for members. How long you must save first, how much you can borrow against your deposits, and how many guarantors you need are set by Sheria, so ask a branch for the loan form and current terms. If you need a guarantor from Sheria, its SaccoLink guarantor board lets members guarantee each other.

Give Sheria written notice. Deposits are usually refunded after a notice period once your loans and any guarantees you have given are cleared. Share capital is normally not refunded, but you can sell it to another member, for example on SaccoLink.

Yes. Sheria is on SASRA's list of SACCOs licensed to take deposits (FOSA) for 2026, so it can offer withdrawable savings accounts as well as loans.
