Tai has 12 offices in Githunguri, Gatundu, Kamwangi, Kagwe, Kigumo, Ruiru, Thika, Githurai, Kimende, Nairobi and Nakuru. The head office is at Tai Plaza, Githunguri Town, Kiambu.

You need: original and copy of national ID or passport, kRA PIN, recent passport-size photograph, next of kin and contact person details, birth certificate (Tai Junior account) and apply online then visit a branch with original ID for verification. You can apply online on SaccoLink and we'll send your application to Tai.

Loans are for members. How long you must save first, how much you can borrow against your deposits, and how many guarantors you need are set by Tai, so ask a branch for the loan form and current terms. If you need a guarantor from Tai, its SaccoLink guarantor board lets members guarantee each other.

Give Tai written notice. Deposits are usually refunded after a notice period once your loans and any guarantees you have given are cleared. Share capital is normally not refunded, but you can sell it to another member, for example on SaccoLink.

Yes. Tai is on SASRA's list of SACCOs licensed to take deposits (FOSA) for 2026, so it can offer withdrawable savings accounts as well as loans.
