What is the Tembo Paybill number?

The Tembo M-Pesa Paybill number is 593643. Use Account code prefix + Membership No., e.g. T101MembershipNo (BOSA deposits), T502MembershipNo (FOSA), T200MembershipNo (entrance fee), T301-T310 loans as the account number.

How do I top up my Tembo shares or deposits?

Go to M-Pesa, Lipa na M-Pesa, Pay Bill, enter business number 593643, then the account. Use Account code prefix + Membership No., e.g. T101MembershipNo (BOSA deposits), T502MembershipNo (FOSA), T200MembershipNo (entrance fee), T301-T310 loans as the account number. Keep the M-Pesa message as your receipt.

How do I check my Tembo balance?

You can dial *796# and log in with your member details to see your deposits, shares and loan balance. If you haven't registered for mobile banking, register at any Tembo branch.

You need: 18 years and above, employed or self-employed in a legal activity in Kenya, completed membership application form and nominee form, copy of national ID, copy of KRA PIN, one passport-size photograph, non-refundable registration fee KES 1,000 and fOSA account minimum fee KES 1,000. Expect a registration fee of KSh 1,000. You can apply online on SaccoLink and we'll send your application to Tembo.

How do I get a loan from Tembo?

Loans are for members. How long you must save first, how much you can borrow against your deposits, and how many guarantors you need are set by Tembo, so ask a branch for the loan form and current terms. If you need a guarantor from Tembo, its SaccoLink guarantor board lets members guarantee each other.

How do I leave Tembo or withdraw my savings?

Give Tembo written notice. Deposits are usually refunded after a notice period once your loans and any guarantees you have given are cleared. Share capital is normally not refunded, but you can sell it to another member, for example on SaccoLink.

Is Tembo licensed by SASRA?

Yes. Tembo is on SASRA's list of SACCOs licensed to take deposits (FOSA) for 2026, so it can offer withdrawable savings accounts as well as loans.
