Univision has 15 offices in Kitui, Mutito, Mwingi, Mutomo, Kyuso, Makindu, Wote, Machakos, Matuu, Tseikuru, Kabati, Mutha, Masii, Kikima and Kambu. The head office is at Teachers Plaza, Kitui Town.
You need: membership application form, national ID (copy), kRA PIN certificate (individual/business), business permit/trade licence (individual business members) and salaried: at least 18 years old, entrance fee Ksh 1,000, minimum balance Ksh 1,000, monthly share deduction. Expect a registration fee of KSh 1,000. You can apply online on SaccoLink and we'll send your application to Univision.
For FY2024, Univision paid 14.5% on share capital and 12% interest on deposits (source: Saccos Report Impressive Dividends Payout (Co-op News)). Rates are set each year at the AGM, so future rates may differ.
Loans are for members. How long you must save first, how much you can borrow against your deposits, and how many guarantors you need are set by Univision, so ask a branch for the loan form and current terms. If you need a guarantor from Univision, its SaccoLink guarantor board lets members guarantee each other.
Give Univision written notice. Deposits are usually refunded after a notice period once your loans and any guarantees you have given are cleared. Share capital is normally not refunded, but you can sell it to another member, for example on SaccoLink.
