SASRA, the SACCO regulator, has published its list of licensed and authorised SACCOs for 2026. It licenses 176 deposit-taking SACCOs, which can run withdrawable (FOSA) savings accounts, and authorises 176 SACCOs to take non-withdrawable deposits.

Check any SACCO before you pay

Use SaccoLink's licence check to look any SACCO up against SASRA's list. Every SACCO page on SaccoLink now shows its licence status, and we check SASRA's website daily for a newer list.

Smaller SACCOs that don't run savings accounts are registered with county co-operative offices instead, so they won't appear on SASRA's list. To complain about a SACCO, see how to complain about your SACCO.
